Kitten raising?

I just got a kitten who is only about 5 weeks old. He is adorable and i take very good care of him. He is very social, yet he often likes to kind of scratch and bite, not in an agressive way, but more in a playful manner. I am concerned that this could continue into adulthood. Will it? Also, is there any way that i could make sure that he does not become agressive in the future? Thanks for any help.

They are certainly most precious little creatures and real heart-stealers.

It's very tempting to let a young kitten play with your hands and there "ferocious" little bites are cute and endearing. You should never do this! Always play with the kitten with a cat dancer or feather toy so that he does not associate humans hands with playthings. He is really young to start any serious training and that would be a step in the right direction. It is not aggression when he bites or scratches just instinctual behaviors he got with his genes.

Kittens, like babies, are neurologically immature and it will be a few months before he has control over the retraction of his claws. So get a book to learn how to trim his nails and do it frequently. Your vet or the vet tech will show you how to do this without hurting the kitten.
As long as your kitten knows he can only act this way during play, its fine. Get him alittle aggrivate in play, then stop him, love on him %26 tell HIm he's a good boy for stopping. Cats are very very intelligent. If you convey that its play, they do understand.
he's probably still teething don't worry about it just don't make a habit of riling him up.
all kittens play this way its a way of learning to hunt and protect it self and yes in time if you play rough w/it ,it will get rougher with you solution.. do not use your hands to play rough with your kitten use toys for cats or a waddedball of foil a chop stick w/ a string and some sort of toy attached to the string never let your kitten attack your hands only toys w/ u on the other end if it dose blow on its nose or gently plck it up by the nape of the neck and place it on the floor, cats have a hard time understanding commands like dogs also a spray bottle works good not up close ! this works good if your baby iz doing somthing at a distance it should not be doing most important do not lit it use your hands or other body parts to practice hunting or proction
hes probably just being a kitten. my jack russell had puppies at the end of august and they bite and scratch constantly. they are just hyper and want to play. as long as your vet doesn't see any problems, let the phase run its course!
You've already had lots of good advice . I'd just add that, when he bites, you also need to say "ow" or squeal quite loudly . so that he knows he's hurting you.

If he was still with his littermates/siblings, this sort of biting scratching play would be quite normal %26 if he bit or hurt his brothers or sisters then they would squeal to let him know.

Good luck with him.
no it wont continue its a kitten that's the way it plays
Yours sounds a little like mine. They are only being playful, like babies which they are. He will not become aggressive unless you let him.
