kitten was full of fleas, now I can't stop scratching, what can I do?

When the kitten had fleas, they would have jumped onto the carpet in order to lay their eggs - flea eggs can live in the carpet for up to 2yrs so it is important that you treat the house as well as the kitten (Both must be treated or the problem won't be resolved). Don't rely on the cold weather to kill the fleas, as your house will be warm enough to keep them alive. Go to the vets and get yourself a decent product, as things you can pick up from the pet shop or supermarket won't work as they are mainly herbal. Before you know it you'll be flea-free!
