my 2 year old male cat, i discovered last night, is urinating blood help what is it?

Answers:
Hi there.blood in the urine could be indicative of Feline Urologic Syndromes--FUS.

Here's the various types:
FUS: http://www.moggies.co.uk/html/fus.html.
Feline Cystitis: http://www.homevet.com/petcare/cystitis..
Feline Struvite: http://www.petcarevabeach.com/struvite.h.
FLUTD (more common in male cats): http://www.thepetcenter.com/exa/uo.html.

Please ring your vet in the morning to arrange for an evaluation as it is difficult to diagnose through the Internet without a physical exam, urinalysis and blood work.
Time for the vet.
Take him to the vet. Urgently.
Take him to the vet today. Could just be urinary infection.
But you need to get him checked out.
go to the vet asap. it could be a lot of things but it's definately not normal
Maybe he has some form of intenal bleeding. My only other suggesstion is to take him to the vet as this sounds serious.
Your cat might have a kidney infection, or some type of feline bladder cancer. You need to get him to a Vet ASAP. Its not going to go away. This can be caused by so many things and its really serious. This can also be caused by an upper respitory infection, like a cold.
He probably has a urinary tract infection. There a certain foods that can help prevent the problem.
something that should be checked out by a vet. It is most likely a urinary tract infection, cats get these from time to time. the good news is that it can be cured. The bad news is that you will have to make him take pills or squirt liquid medicine down his throat for a week or two. It could be something worse but a UTI is most common.
Blood in the litter box always means time to see the vet.
This is potentially serious and you need to take your cat to the vet asap. Only the vet is going to be able to diagnose the problem and provide the treatment your cat needs.

I have a 12 year old male cat who became "blocked" (unable to urinate). He was "leaking" a bit and the urine was pink from the blood. I rushed him to the vet and he needed to "catheterize" him to enable him to relieve himself. This is extremely painful (imagine not being able to urinate!) and life threatening.

I'm not saying that your cat is "blocked" just letting you know that these things can be serious and your cat needs a vet.

I wish you all the best and good luck.
Sounds like a UTI or bladder infection. Could be something with the kidneys, also. Take him to the vet as soon as possible. Males are more prone to urinary crystals which can cause fatal blockages, so do something quick.

Good luck!
Get him to a vet asap.He has crystals or a bladder infection. He is in pain and his life could be in danger.Good luck!!
Sounds like cystitis, or could be something far more serious. Take your cat to a vet. This should have been your first instinct, not coming on here and posting questions!
sounds like a urinary tract infection. that won't go away without treatment. if left untreated it can turn into a kidney infection, and it that's untreated it can be fatal. call your vet ASAP.
