my 10 year old cat has been sleeping in the litter box is something wrong with her?

Although this activity may seem odd, it could mean a couple of things. First, there COULD be a urinary problem (i.e. infection, blockage, kidney issue) so you may want to consider a visit to your cat's vet depending on how long this has been going on (hours, days, months, etc.) Second, this can also be a security issue, especially with older cats -- consider if there has been any recent changes to your cat's environment (i.e. rearranging furniture, changing placements of cat's dishes, new person in the house, etc.).
that's not good, see the vet in the morning.
Might have an infection or other urinary tract issue. Monitor her water intake, see if she is going pee more-or less-than normal. Take her to the vet and get her checked.
No, some cats do that. No one really knows why. I've seen a lot of shelter animals at the store sleep in the litter box rather than on the nice clean blankets provided. Strange isn't it?
If she is in a hot area she could be sitting in there to feel colder. my kiitens like to nap in pots and pans because the metal is cold. Also cats like to be in incosed spaces. it makes them feel safe. she could have problem with like bladder or pooping. but mostlikely not.
take her to the vet asap. My cat was laying by the litter box and sleeping in it also and we took him to the vet and the vet told us he had UTI. Monitor her peeing and water intake. If she has problems peeing then take her to the vet because she most likely has UTI.
if your cat has never done this before. then I would get the cat to a vet ASAP this is often a sign of a ill cat.
