looking for info on fisher cats?

sound and actions of fisher cats
Answers:
Fishers are a member of the Weasel family. Kind of like a mix between a weasel and a badger. Very nasty and they growl quite loudly, they do not howl, but they snarl and hiss if they are threatened.
Fishers are predators, if you have a fisher in the area you will see less rabbits, squirrels and cats will start to disappear.
A real nasty number. I have seen several in the wild while I was a junior ranger in northern Ontario. They were hunted for their fur in the past.
They are actually weasels. Put that in the wikipedia site to read more about them.
